NATHALIE MA (Oxon), MSc, MRCSLT, MASLTIP, HCPC
Certified: EVT®
Nathalie obtained an MSc in Speech and Language Therapy over ten years ago, with a particular interest in Voice Therapy which stemmed from her own enthusiasm for singing. She has since worked in the NHS, seeing hospital outpatients with a variety of voice disorders such as nodules, muscle tension dysphonia, vocal cord palsy, psychogenic voice disorders and puberphonia.
Having experienced voice issues herself in the past, she is particularly aware of the anxiety this can cause in patients, and will always approach their concerns in a sensitive and compassionate way.
Nathalie is a certified clinician in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD), a Speech Therapy programme aimed at improving speech volume and clarity in people with Parkinson’s Disease.
Nathalie grew up in a multinational environment and is fluent in English, French and Russian. In her private practice she has worked with many non-native clients seeking to improve their accent in English, as well as clients wishing to improve their general communication skills and vocal delivery in social and work situations (rate, pitch, volume, pausing, etc.)
Nathalie is actively expanding her clinical focus to include Transgender Voice and is pursuing advanced training in this area of voice therapy.
