Nathan is a dynamic and versatile vocal coach with extensive experience working with both professional and amateur singers.

He has a particular passion for supporting transgender clients in discovering and embracing their authentic singing voice—free from judgement—helping them find joy, confidence, and self-expression through singing.

As a performer, Nathan faced his own vocal challenges that required extensive rehabilitation. This personal journey ignited his commitment to ensuring singers can use their voices effectively, prevent vocal damage, and maintain stamina for demanding schedules. He works collaboratively alongside voice therapists, supporting singers dealing with muscle tension dysphonia and vocal nodules.

As a voice coach, he has supported BBC presenters and corporate leaders in refining their vocal delivery and presence. His teaching career includes positions at leading institutions such as the Guildford School of Acting and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and the Italia Conti Academy, Nathan combines professional performance experience with deep teaching expertise, offering a holistic, supportive, and a tailored approach to vocal coaching. Above all, he enjoys seeing clients surprise themselves with what they are capable of achieving, often surpassing their own expectations.

‘I have had lessons with both Katy and Nathan, and they are both understanding and compassionate people. With Katy, I am learning to instinctively use an authentic voice. With Nathan, he creates such a fun environment to learn how to technically stretch and strengthen my voice!
I am still surprised by how at ease I feel doing the silliest noises in my lessons, but I can safely say that is because Nathan and Katy are such warm-hearted individuals. I would highly recommend going to Nathan during your voice training. It has really helped me understand the technical skills in a truly enjoyable way. Now that I am back in my lessons with Katy, I feel even more at ease trusting my voice and Katy’s skilled ear’

‘I cannot recommend The Speech Network enough. I worked with both Katy and Nathan and it has really helped me find my voice, their guidance helped me understand where I was going wrong, and how to naturalise my new voice. Plus, both being genuinely nice individuals meant that it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Fantastic.’ - Leah

‘I am partway through Transgender voice therapy and wanted to write an early review to appreciate Nathan, who I had two one-to-one sessions with between my sessions with Katy (who I am also having a great time with, though still have many sessions still to go).

He was very friendly and understanding of my personal difficulties, and presented the exercises in our sessions in a way that felt very easy to understand when I was doing things well. He was very encouraging and appeared genuinely invested in my progress.

I would highly recommend booking some sessions with Nathan to help build upon what you are learning and practicing with the other speech therapists’
